Friday’s Rainbow 6 Jackpot Pool Guaranteed at $750,000

Stronach 5 Offers $154,931 Carryover Pool Friday

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $750,000 Friday at Gulfstream Park.

The popular multi-race wager went unsolved Thursday for the seventh racing day in a row since a March 6 mandatory payout. Multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $3,308.78 Thursday.

There will also be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $12,031.78 into the first race, a maiden claiming event over a mile turf course.

The jackpot pool is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Friday’s Rainbow 6 will span Races 5-10. Race 8, a wide-open claiming race at a mile, will also be included in the Stronach 5 sequence.

The most recent edition of the Stronach 5 went unsolved, leaving a carryover of $154,931.69 to be added to Friday’s pool.

The Stronach 5 sequence will be kicked off by Race 8 at Laurel (4:30 p.m.), followed by Race 8 at Gulfstream, Race 9 at Laurel, Race 3 at Santa Anita and Race 3 at Golden Gate Fields.

WHO’S HOT:
Jockey Edgard Zayas had a natural hat trick, scoring consecutive wins with Uphold the Law ($7.20) in Race 6, Awsum Roar ($12.40) in Race 7, and Hercules ($8.60) in Race 8.

Paco Lopez opened the program with back-to-back wins aboard Discreet Tune ($4.80) in Race 1 and King Cairo ($4) in Race 2.
