TSV Staff Selections —-

Indiana Grand

Race 9) Grade 3 Indiana Derby 3yo 1&/16th Miles Post Time 9:48 EDT

8) King Zachary – Culin colt’s last two have been solid showings, winning over OC’s in the Churchill slop, then returning there to draw away from the Grade 3 Matt Winn field; perfect set-up here.

1) Trigger Warning – you can’t ignore this Candy Ride colt’s marked improvement in each of his last three starts, winning sprints at Sunland and Presque Isle before carrying the G3 Ohio Derby field well into the stretch at odds of nearly 90-1; this won’t be a surprise.

7) Title Ready – colt by More Than Ready has been facing tough competition this year and those battled tested duels could pay off in this spot; you know Asmussen will have him ready.

4) Dark Vader – after winning over Santa Anita OC’s two back, Tale of Ekati colt shipped cross-country where he missed by a neck in the tough Easy Goer Stakes on Belmont day; another ready to fire.

The field from the rail out:

1) Trigger Warning (Rone/Rosendo)
2) Blame the Rider (O’Neill/Leparoux)
3) Givemeaminit (Stewart/Pedroza)
4) Dark Vader (Eurton/Nakatani)
5) The Money Dance (Laure/Castanon)
6) Axelrod (McCarthy/Geroux)
7) Title Ready (Asmussen/Santana)
8) King Zachary (Romans/Albarado)
9) Funny Duck (Arnold/Hernandez)

Selections: 8, 1, 7, 4
