Thursday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Grows to $71,086; Friday’s Stronach 5 Goes Cross-Country for Four Turf Races
By David Joseph —-
MIAMI GARDENS, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot grew to $71,086.88 for Thursday’s program at Gulfstream Park West when the popular multi-race wager went unsolved Wednesday for the eighth consecutive program.
Multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $3,430.94.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 has gone unsolved since being hit for the third time in five racing days Oct. 12 for a $23,222.88 jackpot payoff.
