NEW ORLEANS (Wednesday, December 12, 2018) – Bring the kids to Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots on Dec. 15 for an unforgettable afternoon of holiday fun with creative activities like cookie-decorating, ornament-making and face-painting! Holiday Family Day presented by Coca-Cola® runs from Noon to 4 p.m. in the Trackside Tent. You won’t find a better family bargain this holiday season, as children 12 and under are free and admission for everyone else is only $5!
“The holidays are always very special to us at Fair Grounds and we look forward to providing another memorable experience for kids of all ages on Family Day,” said Fair Grounds President, Doug Shipley.
The first two-hundred children will receive a stuffed bear courtesy of Coca-Cola and there will also be drawings for two 4 foot stuffed bears.
Kids can take their bears and also have their picture taken with Santa Claus. The jolly fat man will be available to entertain gift wishes, take photos (printed on the spot to take home for $10 apiece), and maybe even give dad a tip on a horse.
Supplies for family-friendly activities – cookie-decorating, ornament-making, and face-painting – will be provided by Fair Grounds.
A wide variety of food and beverage will also be available for purchase.
First post will be at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST).
