HALLANDALE BEACH, FL –
The 20-cent Rainbow 6 wager went unsolved for the 10th consecutive racing day Thursday at Gulfstream Park, producing a $539,546 carryover jackpot for Friday’s 11-race program. First race post time is noon.

A total of $237,788 was bet into the popular multi-race wager, which began with a carryover of $482,491.50 from Wednesday’s program. Multiple tickets with all six winners Thursday were each worth $23.22.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Since the 2018-19 Championship Meet kicked off Dec. 1, the Rainbow 6 has been hit five times, most recently for a $188,900.81 payout Jan. 9.

Friday’s Rainbow 6 six-race sequence will span Races 6-11 and will include five consecutive $60,000 starter stakes in Races 7-11.

Ron Paolucci Racing’s Uno Mas Modelo, the 6-5 morning-line favorite in the featured Race 10, will likely be the most popular ‘single’ in Rainbow 6 wagering. The Anthony Quartarolo-trained 6-year-old gelding, who won back-to-back optional claiming races at Saratoga last year, most recently finished fourth in the Dec. 22 Mr. Prospector (G2). Previously, the son of Macho Uno captured the $110,000 Claiming Crown Rapid Transit on opening day of the Championship Meet and the $100,000 Bet On Sunshine at Churchill Downs Nov. 1. The $60,000 Perseus Stakes, for horses that ran for a claiming price of $12,500 or less, will be run at seven furlongs.

Guaranteed Pools Set for Saturday’s Multi-Race Wagers

Saturday’s 12-race program, highlighted by the $16 million Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series, will offer guaranteed pools for the Late Pick 4, the Late Pick 5 and the Rainbow 6.

The pool for the Late Pick 4 (Races 9-12) will be guaranteed at $1 million, while the Late Pick 5 (Races 8-12) and the 20-cent Rainbow 6 (Races 7-12) will offer guaranteed pools of $750,000.
The Rainbow 6 pool will be guaranteed as long as the popular multi-race wager isn’t solved before Saturday.

The multi-race sequences for all three wagers will include the $9 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1), North America’s richest race; and the $7 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1), North America’s richest turf race.
