HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 18th consecutive racing day Friday, growing the carryover jackpot to $1,042,638.19 for Saturday’s 12-race program at Gulfstream Park.

First race post time is noon.

A total of $274,827 was bet into the popular multi-race wager, which began with a carryover of $976,699 from Thursday’s card. Multiple tickets with all six winners Friday were each worth $10,989.78.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners.
On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Since the 2018-19 Championship Meet kicked off Dec. 1, the Rainbow 6 has been hit five times, most recently for a $188,900.81 payout Jan. 9.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 7-12, featuring the $350,000 Fasig-Tipton Holy Bull (G2) in Race 11, the $150,000 Swale (G3) in Race 10 and the $150,000 Forward Gal (G3) in Race 9.

Maximus Mischief, who captured the Remsen (G2) at Aqueduct in his 2018 finale, is rated as the even-money favorite in a field of 10 3-year-olds in the 1 1/16-mile prep for the $400,000 Fountain of Youth (G2) March 2 and the $1 million Xpressbet.com Florida Derby (G1) March 30. The Robert “Butch” Reid Jr.-trained son of Into Mischief is undefeated in three career starts, including a pair of victories at Parx to open his extremely promising career.

Mihos, who started off his 3-year-old campaign at Gulfstream Park Jan. 5 with an off-the-pace victory in the $100,000 Mucho Macho Man, has been rated second at 5-2 in the morning line. Trained by James Jerkens, the son of Cairo Prince will make his two-turn debut in the Holy Bull.

Call Paul, Zenden, Seismic Jolt, and all stakes winners in their most recent starts, lead a field of 11 for the Swale, a seven-furlong sprint for 3-year-olds.

Feedback, who is set to make her first start since debuting impressively at Saratoga Aug. 12, is the 6-5 morning-line favorite for the Forward Gal, a seven-furlong sprint for 3-year-old fillies, including stakes winners Fashion Faux Pas and Bye Bye J.

The sequences of the Late Pick 5 (Races 8-12) and Late Pick 4 (Races 9-12) will also include the Holy Bull, Swale and Forward Gal.

FOX Sports Saturday at Races Starts Saturday

The Stronach Group, New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) and FOX Sports have announced the return of FOX Sports Saturday At The Races, the live racing television program launched in 2018 to provide nationwide coverage of the best Thoroughbred racing from marquee venues around the country.

Airing on FS2 and produced by NYRA, the telecasts will kick off Saturday with a 2 ½-hour show offering live coverage of the Holy Bull (G2) at Gulfstream, the Withers from Aqueduct, and the Robert B. Lewis (G2) from Santa Anita.

The year 2019 will see 12 editions of FOX Sports Saturday at the Races airing on FS2 with more than 24 hours of in-depth coverage and analysis of major stakes races and key Triple Crown preps such as the Fountain of Youth (G2) at Gulfstream, San Felipe (G2) at Santa Anita and Gotham (G3) at Aqueduct.

Who’s Hot: Jockey Nik Juarez broke a rare cold spell Friday by riding two winners – Das Da One ($8) in Race 4 and Celebrateme ($34.40) in Race 9. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione also doubled aboard Toupha ($24.20) in Race 1 and Honolulu Express ($460) in Race 3. Leading rider Luis Saez also visited the winner’s circle twice after scoring aboard Chatiment ($6) in Race 2 and There Goes Bella ($3.20) in Race 10.
