Selections: 8, 4, 3, 5
Race 4) Stall Memorial Stakes F&M 1&1/16th Miles (TURF) Post Time 1:54 CST
1) Mitchell Road – has won or placed in each of her five career starts, two straight; English Channel filly is always forwardly placed and will be the one to catch.
2) Top Cats – Argentine-bred mare hasn’t fired in either of her last two.
3) Coachwhip – missed by a length here two back over a yielding lawn, kicked clear here in last over a firm go; adds value.
4) Pretty Lady – Scat Daddy filly has 2-of-3 turf starts here and took to the slop in a “rain-off” last out winning the Pago Hop; trainer Sharp with a last out winner, 22 percent.
5) Coffee Crush – has weakened or tired in each of last three.
6) Kabella – has yet to come to the winner’s circle since sweeping three straight here a year ago; had nothing in her return last month.
7) Dreams Are Free – makes her first turf start and first in Amoss barn, two solid conditioning angles; worth a long look.
8) Beau Recall – graded stakes player got class relief here taking the Blushing KD, coming from last to win by a half-length; trainer/jock team hitting at a very strong 45 percent this meet.
9) Promise of Spring – given tight quarters, 5-year-old showed a lot last out placing here in the Krantz; don’t discount.
10) Go Google Yourself – has been a solid main track player but on the turf has yet to be a threat, it doesn’t get easier in this.
