By Rick Francis —-

EXACTA; 50 cent TRIFECTA & DAILY DOUBLE (RACES 13-14) /
10 cent SUPERFECTA / $1.00 SUPER HIGH 5

Race 13) 1&3/16th Mile. Preakness S. Grade I. Purse $1,500,000 FOR THREE-YEAR-OLDS.
Post Time: ( 6:48)/ 5:48/ 4:48/ 3:48

1) War of Will (Casse/Gaffalione); pulled, was rank throughout the Derby and believe his actions led to the infamous DQ; this a quality horse and the smaller field and better weather makes him a win threat.

2) Bourbon War (Hennig/Ortiz, I.); late developer gets first blinkers; a summer threat.

3) Warrior’s Charge (Cox/Castellano); he’s been tough in each of his career starts winning his last two; these are the dangerous ones.

4) Improbable (Baffert/Smith);
he entered the Derby off a pair of tough beats at Oaklawn and found himself in a tight spot throughout the “Run for the Roses”, but it’s a smaller field and clearer weather so there’ll be no excuses this time.

5) Owendale (Cox/Geroux); rebounded nicely from a dismal Risen Star to win the Lexington last out; improving and rested.

6) Market King (Lukas/Court); wasn’t a win threat in either of his last two and won’t be here.

7) Alwaysmining (Rubley/Centeno);
Maryland-bred enters on a 6-race win streak, five coming against stakes competition; this guy is going to be a tough out, don’t overlook.

8) Signalman (McPeek/Hernandez, B.); colt has finished in the money everywhere he ran except Gulfstream, this isn’t Gulfstream, an exotics player.

9) Bodexpress (Delgado/Velazquez);
hard to endorse a maiden in this spot regardless of the jockey.

10) Everfast (Romans/Rosario); beaten by double-digits in each of his last three; pass.

11) Laughing Fox (Asmussen/Santana); game winner last out at OP; he needs a speed duel upfront for him to threaten.

12) Anothertwistafate (Wright/Ortiz, J.); comes in off a pair of solid place efforts in both the G3 Sunland Derby and Lexington, no slouch.

13) Win Win Win (Trombetta/Pimental); another whose shown a solid late kick; has to get the perfect set-up.

Selections: 4, 7, 1, 8
