Wednesday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Soars to $1.97 Million
Multiple Tickets with Six Winners Returns $13,578
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL –The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot for Wednesday’s program at Gulfstream Park ballooned to $1,977,432.89 Sunday when the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the 39th consecutive racing day.
Multiple tickets with six winners were each worth $13,578.90 Sunday.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
A total of $375,446 was wagered into the Rainbow 6 Sunday, when wagering on the six-race sequence started with a carryover of $1,887,346 from Saturday’s program.
First-race post time for the special eight-race program Wednesday is set for 1:15 p.m. The Rainbow 6 sequence will begin with Wednesday’s third race.
There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $3,143.90.
