$100,000 Guaranteed Pool in Rainbow 6 on Opening Day
Gulfstream Announces Championship Meet Giveaways, Gaffalione Bobblehead
Meet Hall of Famers Prado, Santos, Blum and More Saturday, Nov. 30
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Gulfstream Park will open its Championship Meet Friday, Nov. 29 with a $100,000 guaranteed pool in its popular 20-cent Rainbow 6.
First race post for the 10-race Opening Day card is 12:35 p.m.
Gulfstream’s 89-day Championship Meet will offer $28.6 million in stakes purses with highlights including the Pegasus World Cup Championship Invitational Series (G1) Jan. 25, Florida Derby (G1) Day March 28, Claiming Crown Dec. 7, Clasico Internacional del Caribe Day Dec. 8, Holy Bull (G2) Day Feb 1, and Fountain of Youth Day Dec. 29.
The Rainbow 6 Opening Day will feature four turf races and begin with the fifth race, a one mile turf event that attracted a dozen competitors. The sequence will also include a maiden special weight event for 2-year-old fillies bred in Florida, an optional claimer, and a starter optional claimer.
Championship Meet Giveaways Announced & Gaffalione Bobblehead
The Championship Meet at Gulfstream Park will offer fans the best horsemen, horses and plenty of giveaways through March.
The giveaways begin Friday, Opening Day, with the popular Gulfstream Park calendar and run through March 28 with a Florida Derby hat.

Saturday, Dec. 7 (Claiming Crown): Long Sleeve T shirts
Sunday, Dec. 8 (Caribbean Classic): Caribbean Classic Fan Paddles and Koozies
Saturday, Jan. 18 (Sunshine Millions): Gulfstream Park Water bottle
Saturday, Feb. 1 (Holy Bull Stakes): Gulfstream Park drawstring bag
Saturday, March 7 (Fountain of Youth): Gulfstream Park Umbrella
Saturday, March 28 (Florida Derby): Florida Derby Hat
There will also be Tyler Gaffalione bobbleheads available Saturday, Jan. 5 for a $20 donation to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF).
Meet Prado, Santos, Blum and More Saturday, Nov. 30
Hall of Fame jockeys Edgar Prado, Jose Santos, Walter Blum, Don Brumfield, Bill Boland and Bobby Ussery will be at Gulfstream Park Saturday, Nov. 30 raising for funds for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF).
For a $20 donation to the PDJF, the riders will sign autographs and a special poster to commemorate their careers. The Hall of Famers will be located in the Breezeway between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
