Clear skies and inviting temps are both in store as Fair Grounds Racecourse and Slots kicks off it’s 148th race meet; and with the anticipated large crowd comes the 95th edition of the Thanksgiving Classic Stakes. A small field of five will head to post for this six furlong sprint over the main track and features Autumn Hill Farms Bobby’s Wicked One. It’ll be a great afternoon of racing so let’s take a look at the starters.

Race 7) Thanksgiving Classic 6 Furlongs Post Time

1) Whereshetoldmetogo (Cox/Bridgmohan); comes in off a solid score at Churchill, contested at seven furlongs and sloppy conditions. El Padrino colt makes his fourth start for the always dangerous Brad Cox barn, and today gets the first time services of veteran jock Shaun Bridgmohan, who with Cox has teamed to win 38 percent of their 2019 starts.

2) Tringale (Davis/Murrill); exits a near miss at Keeneland last month; gelding by Flat Out has been turning in some quality works since arriving here but is winless from four FG attempts; minor share at best.

3) Sonic Mule (Sisterson/Beschizza); debuts in the Jack Sisterson barn following his best effort to date when he gamely battled Gulfstream OC’s to win by head; owns a pair of wins and a third from five starts at the distance.

4) Wilbo (Hartman/Kennedy); Candy Ride 7-year-old has been squaring off against top flight company for the entirety of 2019 winning and placing twice along with a third from seven starts. His win two back in the Aristides at Churchill and a tough third last out against Recruiting Ready stamps him as a win threat.

Bobby’s Wicked One (Stall/Mena); winner of the G3 Commonwealth and runner-up in the Grade 1 CD along with three wins from four FG starts have this Speightstown colt as the morning line favorite; however last place efforts in each of his last two are a major concern; trainer Al Stall is solid in these spots, but his last two are a major concern.

Selections: 4, 5, 1, 3
