A field of twelve aspiring 3-year-olds look to garner valuable Kentucky Derby points in the running of the Grade 3 Matt Winn Stakes. A mile and sixteenth is the distance for this $150k contest and as like last weekend note track conditions as rain once again is forecast.

Race 10) 1&1/16th Mile. Matt Winn S. Grade III. Purse $150,000 FOR THREE YEAR OLDS
Post Time: ( 5:44)/ 4:44/ 3:44/ 2:44
ADVANCED FORECAST: Chance Rain Showers then Chance Showers And Thunderstorms, High 84, Low 69

6) Ny Traffic (Joseph/Lopez); Cross Traffic colt has shown steady improvement in each of his three 2020 starts, showing in the Grade 2 Risen Star and a solid place effort last out in the La. Derby’ both contest run at longer routes; trainer is above 0 percent in all conditioning angles in play here.

2) Pneumatic (Asmussen/Santana); colt out of Uncle Mo is 2-for-2 both over the tough Oaklawn course, and both from off the pace; connections always tough, now how to win these contests.

10) Maxfield (Walsh/Ortiz,J.); much talked about winner of the Grade 1 Breeders Futurity at Keeneland makes his first start since that October score, an effort that saw him start slow then sweep past a solid field; could be the real deal but how low of a price do you take.

9) Shake Some Action (Cox/Castellano); didn’t offer much in the La. Derby but you’re going to exclude these top flight connections?

Selections: 6, 2, 10, 9
