Thursday’s Rainbow 6 Jackpot Pool Guaranteed at $175,000
Bodexpress Seeks Return Visit to GPW Winner’s Circle
MIAMI GARDENS, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $175,000 on Thursday’s program at Gulfstream Park West.
The popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the eighth straight racing day of the Fall Turf Festival Meet Monday.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Bodexpress Seeks Return Visit to GPW Winner’s Circle
Bodexpress, a colt whose pre-race antics have too frequently undermined his abundant talent, is scheduled for a return to action at Gulfstream Park West Saturday.
The multiple graded stakes-placed 4-year-old son of Bodemeister, who is slated to face five rivals in a 1 1/16-mile optional claiming allowance, has been on his best behavior at Gulfstream Park West, the site of his only two career victories. The Gustavo Delgado trainee broke his maiden in his eighth career start Oct. 14, 2019 and came right back to capture an allowance five weeks later at Gulfstream Park West. He has been winless in six subsequent starts, including two graded-stakes placings.
Bodexpress finished second behind Maximum Security in the 2019 Florida Derby (G1) at Gulfstream to early a start in the Kentucky Derby (G1), in which he finished 14th after a rough journey. In the Preakness Stakes (G1), he unseated jockey John Velazquez when he reared in the starting gate.
Emisael Jaramillo, who was aboard for his two victories, has the return mount aboard Bodexpress, who came off a layoff to finish third in the Alydar Stakes at Saratoga and second in a Churchill Downs allowance in his two most recent starts.
