3) Golden Pal (Ward/Ortiz, I.); 2020’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf champ has been prepping for this since wiring that contest last November; Uncle Mo colt rolls here.

9) Jaxon Traveler (Asmussen/Ortiz, J.); Munnings colt makes his turf debut after a successful run over the main tracks winning four along with three seconds from seven career starts; good spot to test the champ.

6) Fauci (Antonacci/Juarez); colt out of the late great Malibu Moon exits a rallying score against allowance company at Monmouth. Formally under Wes Ward’s care, he placed to the op pick here a year ago in the Skidmore.

1) Kentucky Pharoah (Sisterson/Gaffalione); ridgling by American Pharoah has struggled in last two but the cutback and jock change make him interesting in exotics.

7) Happy Soul Ward/Velazquez); Runhappy filly dominated in each of her last two at Belmont, however she faced only four rivals in each, nevertheless, she is very fast and with Johnny V a formidable and short price force.

9) Cartel Queen (Amoss/Ortiz, I.); exits maiden win against solid bunch at Churchill; today she gets first time blinkers an angle trainer Amoss hits with 18 percent; also a major jock upgrade.

8) Eagle Express (Asmussen/Santana); Texas-bred drew away from Texas overnighters in last.
