Kentucky Derby Winner Mage $3 Favorite With MonmouthBets For Saturday’s $1 Million Haskell Stakes

New Jersey racing fans will be able to bet fixed odds on the Haskell Stakes for the first time digitally on MonmouthBets, the only legal, regulated fixed odds horse racing platform in the United States

OCEANPORT, NEW JERSEY (July 19, 2023) – Mage, the 2023 Kentucky Derby winner is set as the current $3 favorite with MonmouthBets, in Saturday’s 56th edition of the Grade I Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park.

Good Magic, the sire of Mage, claimed the 2018 running of the Haskell and Mage, trained by Gustavo Delgado, will be making his first start in the Grade I mile and an eighth contest since running third in the Preakness Stakes in May.

Second-choice is undefeated Arabian Knight at $3.50 for trainer Bob Baffert, who has a record nine Haskell wins to his name. The Zedan Racing Stables-owned son of Uncle Mo will be making his first start since winning a Grade 3 at Oaklawn Park in January by open lengths.

Tapit Trice, from the Todd Pletcher barn and third in the Belmont Stakes last time out, is a $4.50 chance, while other interesting contenders include Extra Anejo ($7), Geaux Rocket Ride ($9) and Salute The Stars ($11).
