A field of eleven three-year-olds begin their hunt in earnest for valuble Kentucky Derby 152 points with the 82nd running of the Grade 3 Lecomte Stakes. A solid staks undercard and a weather forecast of near perfect, racing should be awesome. Good Luck !

Race 13) Grade 3 Lecomte Stakes 3yo 1&1/16th miles Post Time 6pm CST

1) Quality Mischief (Cox/Pedroza); was closing last out in Gun Runner to finish length back fourth; that effort came in a much smaller field, but this is “Quality”.

2) Carson Street (Walsh/Concepcion); in a surface switch last out Street Sense colt delivered over a sloppy go; this one’s gonna be around late.

3) Crown the Buckeye (Maker/Santana); Yaupon colt weakened late in Gun Runner; will once again be forwardly placed, they’ll have to catch him.

4) Exosome (Danner/Loveberry); exits a slopy win last October at Keeneland; shocker?

5) Golden Tempo (DeVaux/Ortiz, J.); son of Curkin rolls in off his maiden score sprinting; look for a more forwardly early placing to set up late run.

6) Thunder Buck (Cox/Saez); his maiden score here back in December produced the fastest time at today’s route; major threat.

7) Mesquite (DeVaux/Prat); Union Rags colt is another whose debut win came form the rear in solid fashion; jock change noted.

8) White Tiger (Cox/Ortiz, I, Jr.); colt’s maiden win came in gate-to-wire fashion last out at Churchill; one of many hard to ignore for top spot.

9) Ocelli (Beckman/Ramos); maiden a possible scratch to Race 8 on undercard.

10) Stop the Car (Walsh/Curtis); well nothing has stopped this son of Maximum Securityas his perfect 2-for-2 record indicates, each in trong closing fashion.

11) Chip Honcho ( Asmussen/Lopez); Gun Runner victor stayed close and cleared field; obvious win threat but this is the deepest field he’s faced in three career starts.

It’s early on the serious road to Derby 152 so here we go:
PICKS: 3, 11, 5, 10

Race 7) Kenner Stakes;
2, 3, 4, 5 +9
Race 9) Krantz Memorial Stakes
11, 2, 5, 6
Race 10) Silverbulletday Sakes
4, 1, 3, 5
Race 11) S.R. Bradley Stakes
1, 5, 3, 4
Race 12) Grade 3 Louisiana Stakes
(1) 5, 7, 8, 6
