UPDATE ON EHV-1 AT FAIR GROUNDS

NEW ORLEANS (January 22, 2017) – As directed by the official protocols set forth by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture, the quarantine on horses entering and exiting the property at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots expired at 12 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22.
As such, Fair Grounds will now allow horses to ship in and ship out of all barns unaffected by the current quarantine on the backstretch. Barns affected by the quarantine will continue to follow protocols as directed by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and may become eligible for release from quarantine at future dates.
