ARCADIA, CA (March 3, 2026)—Super Corredora, last year’s champion 2-year-old filly, will look to bounce-back after a disappointing seasonal debut in the Grade III, $100,000 Santa Ysabel Stakes for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/16 miles Sunday at Santa Anita.

Super Corredora, trained by John Sadler, clinched the Eclipse Award as divisional champion when winning the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies on Oct. 31 at Del Mar. On Feb. 8 at Santa Anita, she returned in the Las Virgenes going one mile. Super Corredora raced up on the pace that day before weakening to finish fourth, beaten 6 ¾ lengths by winner Meaning. Super Corredora has returned to work twice since the Las Virgenes, which includes a sharp five-furlong drill in 59.60 seconds on Sunday.

By Gun Runner, Super Corredora is owned by Spartan Equine Racing, West Point Thoroughbreds, Robert C. Gardiner and Michael W. Olszewski. She’ll have regular rider Hector Berrios aboard.

Making her stakes debut for trainer Bob Baffert is Forced Entry. On Feb. 1 at Santa Anita, Forced Entry was switched to dirt and stretched to one mile for her second start. She promptly aired by 7 ¼ lengths under Juan Hernandez, who’ll again be aboard in the Santa Ysabel.

Forced Entry is owned by Michael E. Pegram, Karl Watson and Paul Weitman. On Sunday, the “Three Amigos” won the GIII Honeybee at Oaklawn with 3-year-old filly Explora. Forced Entry, by Charlatan, was a $375,000 auction buy as a yearling.

Also set to make her stakes debut is Piney Woods for trainer Michael McCarthy. By Cupid, Piney Woods exits a promising four-length maiden win going 6 ½ furlongs in her second start on Feb. 7 at Santa Anita. Owned by Mike G. Rutherford, Piney Woods will be ridden by Ricky Gonzalez.

Also on Sunday’s card is the $100,00 China Doll Stakes for 3-year-old fillies going one mile on turf. The field is led by Himika, a multiple stakes winner on dirt for trainer Bob Baffert; and Yours Sincerely, a Grade III-placed Irish-bred for trainer Phil D’Amato.
