TSV Staff Selections —-

Race 10) 1 Mile. (Turf) Gulfstream Park Turf H. Grade I. Purse $350,000 FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. Post Time: ( 4:34)/ 3:34/ 2:34/ 1:34 $1 Daily Double / $1 Exacta / $.50 Trifecta / $.10 Superfecta / $1 Super Hi 5 / $.50 Bet 3 (Races 10-11-12)

1) War Correspondent, Clement/Gaffalione; rallied to miss by a length in 2015’s contest; Clement starters in this spot, but this field is tougher.

2) Almanaar, Brown/Rosario; came up a neck short in the G2 Ft. Lauderdale last month; bullet work a week ago; expect another forward move.

3) Lukes Alley, Carroll/Saez;
last year’s winner’s form has slipped since that score, including a well-beaten try in the Ft. Lauderdale; pass.

4) Beach Patrol, Brown/Geroux; winner of the G1 Secretariat, Lemon Drop Kid colt has been racking up the frequent flyer miles, as he makes his third straight cross-country trip. Nailed by a head two back in the G3 Hill Princess, and last out finishing a game second in the G2 Hollywood Derby at Del Mar, trainer Chad Brown stays with the best turf rider in the business Florent Geroux; look for him to rebound from back-to-back place efforts.

5) Flatlined, Dickey/Bravo; Flatter 5-year-old loves it here, in five starts he’s won three along with a second and third; his biggest win coming last out in the Ft. Lauderdale at odds of 15-1; hot work on the 28th suggests he’s feeling it once again.

6) Divisidero, Bradley/Prado; Kitten’s Joy 5-year-old is another who’s found success on the Gulfstream grass, finishing in the money in all five attempts. Pushed wide last out in the Ft. Lauderdale, he rallied late to finish third as the race favorite. All he knows is turf, and one of the few that works on it.

7) Elrigh, Pletcher/Lezcano; his lone turf victory came last out versus Tampa OC’s, and though I feel he’s a bit overmatched, top connections have entered him for a reason????

8) All Included, Pletcher/Castellano; came up just short here against OC’s last month, the same effort he posted in this a year ago. Winless in his last eight starts, Pletcher starters don’t stay don’t for long.
