Race 9) 1 Mile. (Turf) Clm 16000 Purse $23,000 Post Time: ( 4:03)/ 3:03/ 2:03/ 1:03

Very Very Stella (5): Won 4 straight back in April thru July, but has struggled sense; meets an easier field here; Ziadie and Zayas combine to win at a 32% clip, which must be respected.

Perfect Tay (1): Just missed at this level and has to be respected right back picking up Joel Rosario.

Compass Stone (10): Jock Luis Saez jumps off the morning line favorite to ride here and he’s been riding lights out; watch the board to see if this one takes money.

Race 10) 1ˆ Mile. (Turf) OC 62500n2x Purse $49,000 Post Time: ( 4:34)/ 3:34/ 2:34/ 1:34

Cherry Wine (3): Wonderfully bred for the turf and I have been waiting for this one to get back on the grass; I don’t think 20-1 will hold up but you should get a fair price.

Zennor (7): Was known around Saratoga for beating Frosted in the morning works, and today looks to make it back-to-back wins for top connections.

Highland Sky (12): He has always been a top level horse who seems to find trouble; the switch to Paco Lopez is big time, as he is riding at a 25% clip.

Race 11) 5 Furlongs. (Turf) Melody of Colors S. Purse $75,000 FILLIES,
THREE YEARS OLD.Post Time: ( 5:05)/ 4:05/ 3:05/ 2:05

Field of Songs (2): Her only start in America was dreadful but it was also the first time this horse went two turns; I’m willing to give her another shot sprinting at a big price.

Attyia (7): Ran a very impressive race last out and is the one to catch and beat in this spot.

Richie’s Sister (10): Comes out of the same race as Attyia and should be able to stalk and pounce; we will see if second time is the charm.

Race 12) 6½ Furlongs. Gulfstream Park Sprint S. Grade III. Purse $100,000
FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. Post Time: ( 5:35)/ 4:35/ 3:35/ 2:35

Unified (1): Makes his 3-year-old debut in this very salty Grade III. He is still unbeaten at 1 turn but will have to step it up to beat the favorite on the outside here. He has every reason to improve as a 3-year-old and I am willing to take a shot on him since I expect the price to drift up with Mind Your Biscuits getting all the play.

Mind Your Biscuits (6): The first race under new trainer Chad Summers who was previously in bloodstock among many other parts of the industry.

Early Entry (4): Comes in second off the layoff seeking his 4th straight win. With a lot of tactical speed he is tough to ignore being 3-for-5 at the distance and 4-for-4 over the Gulfstream surface.

Race 13) 1ˆ Mile. (Turf) Clm 16000n2L Purse $19,000 Post Time: ( 6:05)/ 5:05/ 4:05/ 3:05

Cavity (2): Has been beaten by a combined two lengths at this distance and level since class drop. This is much the horse to beat and almost a single for me to end the late pick 5.

Regal Kitten (3): Takes the drop from 30k to this spot and this is a very bad field with no horse having more than one win. The trainer is 20 percent on the meet with only 27 starters, which means he is putting his horses where they belong and this one must be respected.

Schweets (9): Has been in the exacta 5 out of 10 career starts and like I said before, this is not a great race for the level. Trainer Davis Brownlee is 22 percent first off the claim with a small sample size of 9 horses.

.50 Pick-5 Race 9-12

1,5,10 / 3,5,7,12/ 2,5,6,7,10/ 1,4,6/ 2,3 = $180

*This is a very difficult sequence and I recommend using as many horses as your budget can afford or partnering with others. *
