LEXINGTON, KY (April 11, 2017) – Finish Line Racing, the Elwood Johnson Trust and Taste of Victory Stables’ What a View, winner of the 2016 Frank Kilroe Mile (G1) and runner-up in the 2017 renewal last month, heads a field of 12 entered Tuesday for Friday’s 29th running of the $300,000 Maker’s 46 Mile (G1).

The Maker’s 46 Mile will go as the ninth race on Friday’s 10-race program with a 5:30 p.m. ET post time. First post time Friday is 1:05 p.m.

Trained by Kenny Black, What a View has three runner-up finishes in 2017, including one in the Arcadia (G2) to Bolo. Bolo is making the trip east for trainer Carla Gaines and the ownership of Golden Pegasus Racing and Earle Mack.

This is the second trip to Keeneland for What a View, who finished eighth in last fall’s Shadwell Turf Mile (G1). Tyler Baze, who has been aboard for What a View’s past five starts, has the call Friday and will break from post position two.

A two-time Grade 2 winner, Bolo finished third, 1½ lengths in back of a What a View in the Kilroe in his most recent start. Mike Smith has the mount on Bolo and break from post position two.

Topping the East Coast contingent for the race is Terry Hamilton’s Heart to Heart.

Trained by Brian Lynch, Heart to Heart finished second in this race last year to the filly Miss Temple City. Julien Leparoux has the mount on Heart to Heart and will break from post position nine.

The field for the Maker’s 46 Mile, from the inside, is: Blacktype (FR) (Joel Rosario, 118 pounds), What a View (Baze, 118), American Patriot (Javier Castellano, 118), Conquest Enforcer (Paco Lopez, 120), Conquest Panthera (Robby Albarado, 118), Calculator (Florent Geroux, 118), Inspector Lynley (John Velazquez, 118), Heart to Heart (Leparoux, 118), Ballagh Rocks (Jose Lezcano, 118), Western Reserve (Shaun Bridgmohan, 118) and Bondurant (Brian Hernandez Jr., 118).
