KEENELAND

Race 9) 1 Mile. (Turf) Maker’s 46 Mile S. Grade I. Purse $300,000 FOR FOUR
YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD
Post Time: ( 5:30)/ 4:30/ 3:30/ 2:30

Blacktype 1), French-bred gelding, a multiple Graded Stakes winner makes his first of the new year, and regardless of the conditioning the first starters of the year have had a bit of trouble over the turf course; only underneath.

What a View 2), 6-year-old by Vronsky has finished close seconds in three straight this year, including a tough beat last out in the G1 Kilroe; his lone start here came in the fall and was at best uneventful.

American Patriot 3), War Front colt kicked off 2017 in winning fashion taking OC’s at Gulfstream; jock change back to Castellano is a push.

Bolo 4), solid 5-year-old took the G2 Arcadia two back and was closing to finish third in the Kilroe; Mike Smith stays; trouble here.

Conquest Enforcer 5), has lost to a couple of these in his last two, however first starters in the Radosevich barn win at a 23 percent clip.

Conquest Panthera 6), was all out in the Grade 3 Canadian last out to finish third, a lot of upside for this lightly raced Kitten’s Joy offspring.

Calculator 7), in only two turf starts, this In Summation 5-year-old finished third at Del Mar and last out to to the Santa Anita hill winning by a head; tough call against these turf vets.

Inspector Lynley 8), opened 2017 with a willing win in the G3 Tampa Bay Derby, finished a solid third a year ago here in the Transylvania; Shug and Johnny V have had success together, don’t overlook.

Heart to Heart 9), millionaire 6-year-old out of English Channel is always forwardly placed and will be again today. Runner-up a year ago, he’ll be the one to catch.

Ballagh Rocks 10), colt has won 4 of his last five starts; was well beaten by allowance company here in October so this class test may be too much.

Western Reserve 11), caught late in the Grade 3 Col. Bradley at Fair Grounds, which came over a soft course; trainer Cox has been hot all year and is off to a great start here; merits a closer look.

Bondurant 12), is 2-for-2 here and finished less than a length back in the Canadian; you won’t get 12-1 today, but if you do, take it.

Selections: 9, 2, 11, 12
