First-Race Post Set for 2:15 P.M. for First Twilight Card
Red-Hot Tyler Gaffalione Notches Four-Win Day

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 24rd consecutive program at Gulfstream Park Thursday, leaving a carryover jackpot of $556,054 for Friday’s nine-race twilight program.

First-race post time is set for 2:15 p.m. Happy Hour food and drink specials will be available, along with drawings and contests. Live entertainment is scheduled at the Fountain Club overlooking the walking ring 7-10 p.m.

Multiple Rainbow 6 tickets with all six winners Thursday were each worth $3,338.62.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket sold, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Friday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 4-9. The $50,000 Ana T. will be contested by eight fillies and mares in Race 8. More Than a Party and Concealedwithakiss, who finished 1-2, respectively, in a recent optional claiming allowance are slated to clash again in the seven-furlong overnight handicap that also attracted West Coast invader Patriotic Diamond.

Red-Hot Tyler Gaffalione Notches Four-Win Day

Fresh off last week’s 13-win performance that earned him the Jockeys’ Guild’s Jockey of the Week, Tyler Gaffalione boosted his nation-leading win total to 128 with four more winners on Thursday’s program at Gulfstream.

The 22-year-old native of Davie, FL scored aboard Rey Astray ($15.40) in the second, Huaquechula ($4.20) in the third, Evil Twin ($5.60) in the fifth and Loving Valentina ($3.20) in the sixth.

Gaffalione, who has been named on six mounts for Friday’s program, is scheduled to venture to Penn National Saturday to ride Todd Pletcher-trained Bronson in the $500,000 Penn Mile. Rated third in the morning line at 4-1, Bronson captured the English Channel Stakes at Gulfstream May 6.
