Race 8), 1† Mile. (Turf) John’s Call S. Purse $100,000 FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD

Post Time: ( 5:02)/ 4:02/ 3:02/ 2:02

St. Louie (1), Maker/Saez; after winning two back at Belmont, 5-year-old weakened at the top of the stretch to finish a well beaten seventh here facing similar OC’s; has failed to land on the board here in three attempts.

Mr Singh (2), Voss/Decarlo; though making the distance won’t be an issue for 5-year-old by High Chaparral , hitting the board will, as he posts only a second and third from his last seven starts.

Infinite Wisdom (3), Lynch/Ortiz, I; has placed here in all three of his starts and has been in the money with 11 of his 15 career turf starts; jock change to Irad Ortiz a plus.

Montclair (4), Weaver/Santana; Irish-bred 7-year-old’s last five starts have been poor efforts ; today he starts in the Rusty Weaver barn who with his first’s after a claim wins at a strong 29 percent.

Renown (5), Voss/Leparoux; after winning three straight, 6-year-old’s form has been heading south in his last two; showed in this a year ago.

Nessy (6), Wilkes/Castellano; had nothing in the stretch here late last month; prior start 4-year-old out of Flower Alley stayed close and pulled away from Churchill allowance foes at a mile-and-half distance; can rebound off last.

Red Rifle (7), Pletcher/Ortiz, J; the field’s most accomplished entry based on earnings, however he hasn’t had a photo-op in his last nine starts, and with his best effort coming last out on the main track, 7-year-old might just need an extended vacation.

Selections: 6, 3, 4, 1
