Race 9), 1ˆ Mile. (Inner Turf) P. G. Johnson S. G. JOHNSON S.. Purse $100,000 INNER TURF FOR FILLIES TWO YEARS OLD.

Post Time: ( 5:40)/ 4:40/ 3:40/ 2:40
ADVANCED FORECAST: Chance Rain Showers, High 73 Low 46

Mentality (1), Ward/Santana; gate-to-wire debut winner takes the blinkers off for this contest, a strong 22 percent play for Ward, who also with a maiden winner last out is equally strong as he hits next out at 23 percent.

Oldfashioned Style (2), Contessa/Saez; in a surface switch here 2 weeks ago, Old Fashioned filly sat just off the leader and then went on to pass and clear the field at seven furlongs; encouraging but a particularly strong training spot for Contessa.

Orbolution (3), Pletcher/Velazquez; determined maiden score here at today’s distance last month; this barn hasn’t cooled down one bit since opening day, as the trainer’s win percentage of 27 percent indicates.

Life Time Citizen (4), Serpe/Ortiz, I;
her start here on the 10th sprinting might be an indicator she’s a bit outclassed, jock change to one of the meets best in Ortiz suggests she’s not.

Romantic Babe (5), Donk/Franco; sprinted from the rear to win her debut by over a length; trainer Donk has finished in the money with nearly half of his starters this meet.

Sassy Sienna (6), Cox/Castellano; Midshipman filly surged past Indiana maidens in her debut, and though trainer Cox, who came into the meet hot as a pistol, has cooled off, his training angles are strong in this spot.

Wind N Ready (7), Casse/Leparoux; made a bit of a late sprinting in her debut netting a third place finish; Casse barn didn’t fire as expected this meet and are determined for this one.

Selections: 3, 1, 6, 7
