Rainbow 6 Jackpot Hit for $93,555.42
Jaramillo Notches Fifth Multi-Win Day in a Row

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot was hit Saturday at Gulfstream Park, producing a $93,555.42 payoff for the only ticket with all six winners.

The winning combination was 7-1-2-12-2-4.

The popular multi-race wager, which had gone unsolved for five consecutive racing days, was last solved Sept. 4 for a $166,304.59 jackpot payoff.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket sold, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The Rainbow 6 will start anew Sunday, when the six-race sequence will span Races 5-10.

There will be a Super-Hi 5 carryover of $2,996,48 heading into Sunday’s card.

Jaramillo Notches Fifth Multi-Win Day in a Row

Emisael Jaramillo notched his fifth straight multiple-win day Saturday at Gulfstream while taking a pair of trips to the winner’s circle. The veteran jockey, who ranks as Venezuela’s winningest jockey in history, scored aboard Disco Man ($7) in the third race and Flemish Cap ($6.40) in the fourth race.
Jaramillo has won 11 win on the five most recent cards.

Trainer Todd Pletcher went 1-for-2 with his first starters of the Summer Meet. First-time starter Miss Kapinator finished fourth in the eighth race, while Channel Cat was awarded the victory in the 11th race, a maiden special weight turf race for 2-year-olds, after being knocked off stride by first-place finisher Speed Franco in the stretch and finishing second.
