TSV Staff —-

Belmont Park serves up a pair of “Win and You’re In” Breeders’ Cup challenges with the runnings of the Grade 1 Vosburgh (BC Sprint) and the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic (BC Turf); staff selections.

Race 7), 6 Furlongs Vosburgh S. Grade I. Purse $350,000 FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD

Post Time: ( 4:04)/ 3:04/ 2:04/ 1:04
ADVANCED FORECAST: Chance Thunderstorms, High 67 Low 54.

Stallwalkin’ Dude (1), Jacobson/Bravo; had little to offer Drefong and crew last out in the G1 Forego; it’s a better fit today with furlong cutback.

El Deal (2), Navarro/Castellano; enters on a 3-race win streak, his last a dominating gate-to-wire win in the G1 Vanderbilt; very tough.

Green Gratto (3), Grant/Carmouche; hasn’t fired since his stunning upset of the Grade 1 Carter back in April; pass.

Takaful (4), McLaughlin/Ortiz, J; caught late in the G1 Jerkens, however Bernardini colt is rounding into top form now; dangerous.

Mr. Crow (5), Pletcher/Saez; Tapizar colt is a neck away from winning his first three career starts; if Pletcher thinks he’s ready for this test, he’ll be ready.

Celtic Chaos (6), McLaughlin/Cancel;
colt tries open company again for this first time in his last ten starts; class-test.

Weekend Hideaway (7), Serpe/Franco; another whose recent successes have come facing fellow New Yorkers; strong work tab in prep for this.

Selections: 2, 1, 4, 5

Race 10), 1½ Mile (Turf) Joe Hirsch Turf Classic S. Grade I. Purse $500,000 FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD

Post Time: ( 5:45)/ 4:45/ 3:45/ 2:45

Money Multiplier (1), caught in deep stretch by Sadler’s Joy in the G1 Sword Dancer; Brown/Castellano tandem bests that foe here.

Sadler’s Joy (4), late charge was enough to get past rail for in Dancer; he is a 3-time winner along with a second the distance, look for a blanket finish again.

Oscar Performance (3), Kitten’s Joy ridgling has won 6-of-9 career starts, including three straight highlighted by wins in the Grade 1 Secretariat and Belmont Derby; 3-year-old is ready.

Beach Patrol (5), winner of the Arlington Million, which earned him a Breeders’ Cup Turf berth, is tough to get past, and that’ll be the case in this.

Field from the rail out:

1) Money Multiplier, Brown Castellano
2) Converge, Chatterpaul/Cancel
3) Oscar Performance, Lynch/Ortiz, J
4) Sadler’s Joy, Albertrani/Leparoux
