Keeneland’s 17-day Fall Meet opens Friday, Oct. 6, and concludes Saturday, Oct. 28, with racing
on Wednesdays through Sundays. Post time for the first race each day is 1:05 p.m. ET.

FALL STARS WEEKEND STAKES FIELDS TAKING SHAPE

Fall Stars Weekend on Oct. 6-8, the first three days of Keeneland’s Fall Meet, is the signature event of the season. Fall Stars Weekend features nine graded stakes worth $3.75 million. Five of those races are Grade 1 events, including the $1 million Shadwell Turf Mile (G1). Eight Fall Stars stakes are “Win and You’re In” contests for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Del Mar on Nov. 3-4.
The Shadwell Turf Mile is likely to draw an overflow field.

Keeneland Stakes Coordinator Allison DeLuca has 16 horses considered as probable or possible for the race, a “Win and You’re In” for the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) to be run Nov. 4. The maximum number of starters for the Shadwell Turf Mile, to be run Saturday, Oct. 7, is 14.

The following is a list of probable starters for Fall Stars Weekend stakes.

$400,000 DARLEY ALCIBIADES (G1) (Entries taken Tuesday; race Friday, Oct. 6) – Bet She Wins (Chris Block), Caroline the Great (Tracey Glover), Heavenly Love (Mark Casse), Kelly’s Humor (Brad Cox), Over Thinking (Vicki Oliver), Pacific Gale (John Kimmel). Possible: Amy’s Challenge (Mac Robertson), Maya Malibu (Graham Motion), Princess Warrior (Kenny McPeek) and Sassy Sienna (Cox).

“KEENELAND MAGAZINE ON TV” SET FOR SATURDAY
“Keeneland Magazine on TV,” which will air Saturday at noon on WKYT, is a 30-minute program that chronicles stories about Central Kentucky life and culture from the print edition of Keeneland magazine. The episode features:
· “Commitment to Quality.” Juddmonte Farms produces exceptional racehorses with its blue-chip breeding stock and supports Keeneland with strategic purchases and race sponsorship.
· “Combining Craft and Community.” There’s more than just beer on the Brewgrass Trail as increasingly popular craft breweries attest.
· “Making a Difference: Legacy of Care.” Lexington Shriners Medical Center, in a new state-of-the-art facility, remains committed to providing the best orthopedic care for children.
· “Taking It to the Streets.” Colorful murals by local and international artists spruce up once-empty walls throughout Lexington, intriguing residents and visitors alike.

“Keeneland Magazine on TV” also will air Sunday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. on The CW Lexington.
