Race 5) 5½ Furlongs. (Turf) G2 Woodford S. Presented by Keeneland Select Purse $200,000 FOR THREE YEAR
OLDS AND UPWARD
Post Time: ( 3:25)/ 2:25/ 1:25/12:25
ADVANCED FORECAST: Rain Showers, High 85 Low 68.
Commend (3): Should sit a perfect trip in here right off the speed from the inside post position. He is currently in good form and I love the cut back from 6 1/2 to 5 1/2 furlongs.
Latent Revenge (5): Has the ability to pop some big numbers and this is one I want on my pick 5 at an overlay of 12-1.
Hogy (8): Still surprised that someone reached in at Saratoga to claim this 8-year-old for 80k but they got their money back in the first start when he won a stake at Kentucky Downs. Mike Maker is great with anything on the turf and this one always puts in his run.
Race 6) 6 Furlongs Thoroughbred Club of America S. Grade II. Purse $250,000 FOR FILLIES AND MARES, THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD
Vertical Oak (2): Was visually impressive when winning Prioress at Saratoga and should move forward off that effort.
Finley’sluckycharm (4): Ran a winning race but caught at the line by Paulassilverlining; she’s a little short here at 3/5 on the morning line. I have seen these type of favorites go down many times at Keeneland and wouldn’t be surprised if she was next.
Ivy Bell (8): It is possible that it gets hot up front and if it does this is the one I want to pick up the pieces.
Race 7) 1 Mile. (Turf) First Lady S. Grade I. Purse $400,000 FOR FILLIES AND MARES, THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD
Dona Bruja (3): Split a pair of Chad Brown runners when running second in the Beverley D; either of those would be the favorite in this race. Should get an ideal pace scenario with the outside three runners looking to go early.
Roca Roja (4): Ran much better in her last after a dismal performance in the Just a Game Stakes; as mentioned for the top pick she should also get an ideal pace scenario.
Dickinson (6): Has not really run a poor race since May of 2016 when she was still on the dirt. She returns to the track that she beat Lady Eli on.
Race 8) 1&1/16th Mile Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity Grade I. Purse $500,000 FOR TWO YEAR OLDS
Givemeaminit (7): Yet to break his maiden but has run two winning races; he should enjoy the stretch out.
Bourbon Resolution (8): Was very impressive when going wire to wire in breaking his maiden at Saratoga, he could do the same thing right here.
Free Drop Billy (9): Will likely be over bet based on his traffic issues in the Hopeful.
Race 9) 1 Mile. (Turf) Shadwell Turf Mile S. Grade I. Purse $1,000,000 FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD
Mondialiste (7): Comes out of the Woodbine Mile where the winner sat the perfect trip and he just had too much to do. He ran a solid 4th in this race last year and loves this distance.
Divisidero (2): One of the most consistent horses you will find in training, he always runs his race and is coming into this one fresh as can be.
Heart to Heart (10): A miler specialist who always runs well over this track. Interesting to see Geroux get the call with Leparoux taking the call on Divisidero.
