LEXINGTON, KY (March 20, 2018) – Keeneland officials today announced a new online ticket distribution process for its popular Maker’s Mark commemorative bottle signing, to be held Friday, April 13, at the Keene Barn and Entertainment Center.

The new online system will enable customers to reserve an e-ticket for the bottle signing via the Keeneland website beginning Monday, April 9, at 8:30 a.m. ET. No tickets will be given out at Keeneland.

Tickets are free and limited to one per customer. One ticket entitles the holder to have two 2018 Maker’s Mark commemorative bottles signed. No other memorabilia will be autographed.

“The Maker’s Mark commemorative bottle signing is one of the most anticipated events of the Keeneland Spring Meet,” Keeneland President and CEO Bill Thomason said. “Both Keeneland and Maker’s Mark are blessed by a passionate fan following, and we appreciate their loyalty year after year.”

Maker’s Mark and Keeneland, two iconic Kentucky brands, have collaborated on an annual commemorative Maker’s Mark bottle since 1997. Bottles have featured a special-edition label depicting well-known members of the Thoroughbred industry or the University of Kentucky athletics world. Sales of these collectibles have raised millions of dollars to benefit deserving causes throughout Central Kentucky.

The 2018 commemorative bottle and its featured signees will be announced later this month. Bottles will go on sale at retail outlets throughout Kentucky on Friday, April 6. No bottles will be sold at Keeneland.

Customers are required to set up an online account before finalizing the order for the bottle signing ticket. Fans are encouraged to do so before April 9 to expedite their ticket order the day tickets are available to the public.

Tickets are non-transferable. Ticket holders must show a photo ID at check-in. The name on the photo ID must match the name on the ticket for admittance to the bottle signing. Tickets do not guarantee a specific spot in line.

Fans may begin lining up at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the Keeneland Entertainment Center as determined by Keeneland Security. Camping overnight will be permitted that evening only.

Ticket holders must be in line at the Keeneland Entertainment Center by 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 13, to ensure their bottles will be signed. Participants must be 21 years or older to participate in the bottle signing.
