IMPRESSIVE MAIDEN WINNER TALK VEUVE TO ME WILL LIKELY FACE WINNERS NEXT OUT

Talk Veuve To Me showed a great amount of promise on Sunday afternoon when breaking her maiden by 11¼ lengths on Sunday afternoon over the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots main track for trainer and co-owner Rodolphe Brissett.

The daughter of Violence was guided to victory by Shaun Bridgmohan and made her first start since a second-place finish in her career debut at Ellis Park in August behind Harbor Lights. Stable mate Abounding Joy finished second.

“She won pretty nicely we always liked her,” Brissett said. “We ran her once when she was two and gave her some time. We put a good two months of training into and she responded very well. It was a very good effort and she looked great doing it.”

Brisset, who owns the filly in partnership with Stephen McKay stated that Talk Veuve To Me will nominate to the Grade II $200,000 Eight Belles Stakes at Churchill Downs on May 4, but that she will likely target a first level allowance race.

“She looks like she could be stakes type so we may have to open up the condition book and find a stakes for her at some point,” Brissett said. “We just have to do what’s right for her.”
