Race 6) Astoria Stakes 2 Year-Old Fillies 5&1/2 Furlongs Post Time 4:40 EDT

1) Wonder Stone – debut win at Keeneland in hand; trainer Ward a blistering 39 percent this meet; with juveniles, 22 percent.

2) Gallanor – closed nicely in taking her debut start at Laurel, however winning time was slowest of today’s group.

3) Eyeinthesky – her maiden win at Churchill produced the fastest time of the bunch; Casse also having a strong meet.

4) Lady Apple – Curlin filly gets first lasix following her debut start, a place effort against a deep Keeneland field.

5) Six Pack Gal – gate-to-wire winner at Santa Anita; trainer Machowsky with a maiden winner next out, 28 percent.

6) Gorgeouswitha G – gets a class-test after holding off Prairie Meadow maidens.

7) Tijori – her debut win at Santa Anita produced the field’s highest speed figure; exits a bullet work there before shipping in.

8) Athens Queen – held through a long stretch drive; interesting to note that connections have been working her on the turf.
