ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (June 27, 2018) – Arlington International Racecourse is proud to once again host its spectacular Fireworks Day extravaganza featuring live racing with a special first post at 4:15 pm, entertainment, and Independence Day celebrations culminating with a dazzling fireworks show at dusk on Sunday, July 1.

Join us in all the festivities offered on Family Day with Independence Day Crafts & Fun in The Park, jockey goggle giveaways, face painting and entertainment for kids. Wayne Messmer, best known for singing the National Anthem at Chicago Cubs games, will deliver a powerful rendition as Arlington pays tribute to a pair of World War II heroes.

This year’s fireworks will be the longest in the history of the Arlington show, lasting over 30 minutes and accompanied by music. New reserved seating outside the winner’s circle has been added due to high demand for premium views of the fireworks.
