NYRA RELEASE —-

ELMONT, N.Y. – Corms Racing Stable’s Positively Jean will line up in a field of nine for the $100,000 Lynbrook for juvenile New York-bred fillies at six furlongs on Sunday, which will conclude the stakes action on closing day of the Belmont spring/summer meet.

This will be the second career start for Positively Jean, a bay filly by Midshipman. A $47,000 yearling purchase last year, she broke her maiden June 29 on the turf, registering a 3 ½-length debut victory for trainer Danny Gargan.

Listed at 4-1 on the morning line, Positively Jean will be ridden from Kendrick Carmouche from the outside post.

Ralph M. Evans’ first time starter Tossup has been installed as the 7-2 morning-line favorite. Last fall, the New York-bred Pioneerof the Nile filly brought $230,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale and has been working regularly since joining the Rick Violette, Jr. barn this spring.

Jockey Joe Bravo has the assignment. The pair will leave from post 8.

C T R Stable’s debut winner Native Dawn, by Morning Line, will try to replicate her 5 ¾-length maiden victory against state-breds on June 14, where she beat fellow Lynbrook entrants Princess Pinky and She’s Trouble. At 9-2, the Mark Casse trainee will be ridden by Jose Ortiz from post 5.

Following a fourth-place finish on June 23 at Monmouth Park, Midnitesalright, 5-1, will add blinkers for the Lynbrook. The Jason Servis-trained filly by Midnight Lute will break from the rail with Manny Franco aboard.

Rounding out the field for the Lynbrook are Icy Lady, a 2 ½-length winner at Delaware Park, and first-time starters Maiden Beauty and Sander’s Empire.
