Saratoga

Race 9) Grade 1 Coaching Club American Oaks 3YO Fillies 1&1/8th Miles Post Time 5:40 EDT

1) Chocolate Martini, Amoss/Ortiz, I; disappointed last out when shipped cross-country for shot in the G2 Summertime Oaks. Broken Vow filly maybe showing the signs of what has been a grueling 2018 campaign.

2) Midnight Bisou, Asmussen/Smith; romped past a short Mother Goose field in last and was gaining two back in the Kentucky Oaks, but only on Wonder Gadot not Monomoy Girl. Maybe next month in the Personal Ensign, but here.

3) Eskimo Kisses, McPeek/Castellano; has lost to Monomoy Girl in two straight, make it three.

4) Monomoy Girl, Cox/Geroux; 2018’s version of Songbird. Tapizar filly has faced all challengers and repelled them. Perfect at any distance and surface; next two starts, Personal Ensign, Breeders’ Cup Distaff.

5) Gio Game, Casse/Leparoux; stayed on to finish third in the Acorn but wasn’t going to catch the ‘Girl and won’t today.

Selection: 4 over 2
