NYRA RELEASE —-

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Friday’s Pick 6 will be augmented by a $42,230 carryover as the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday at Saratoga Race Course.

Favorites took the first two legs of Thursday’s sequence with Brimstone (No. 5, $5) and Alberobello (No. 4, $4.80) proving dominant in Races 5 and 6, respectively. Off at 9-2, first-time gelding Fully Vested (No. 2, $11) followed with a breakthrough maiden win in Race 7 and G Zap (No. 5, $14) got the win in Race 8.

In the day’s feature race, 8-year-old gelding Weekend Hideaway (No. 8, $23.40) nabbed his first win in 14 months with a front-running score in the John Morrissey for New York-breds in Race 9 and, in the night cap, first-time starter Guacamole (No. 1, $6.30) was elevated to first as the post-time favorite in Race 10.

Five of six winners returned $454.00.

Friday’s Pick 6 sequence will get underway in Race 5 with a post time of 3:14 p.m. ET, and will be anchored by the $100,000 Curlin for 3-year-old Travers hopefuls, featuring Hofburg in his first race since running third in the Belmont Stakes, in Race 9.

Wagering on the Pick 6 is available through NYRA Bets, on-track, and Belmont Café, as well as simulcast facilities across the country.
