NYRA RELEASE —-

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Overnight rainfall of 2.3 inches has forced the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) to cancel the final two races of Saturday’s card. The $100,000 Fasig-Tipton Lure has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 11. The Grade 3, $200,000 Fasig-Tipton Waya has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 12.

As a result of the cancellations, New York State Gaming Commission rules require NYRA to cancel multi race wagers, including: the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5; Grand Slam; the Late Pick 4; Pick 3s scheduled to begin in Race 8 and Race 9; and the Daily Double beginning in Race 9. All pools in Race 10 and Race 11 have been cancelled.

Saturday’s live racing program from Saratoga Race Course will conclude with the 91st running of the Grade 1, $1.2 million Whitney with an approximate post time of 5:46 p.m.

The 2018 summer meet at historic Saratoga Race Course continues through Labor Day, Monday, September 3. For more information about Saratoga Race Course, visit NYRA.com.
