Uno Mas Modelo Looking for One More in Mr. Prospector
Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Grows to $30,379

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Loooch Racing Stables’ Uno Mas Modelo will seek his sixth victory in his last seven starts Saturday at Gulfstream Park, where the 5 year-old gelding will face 10 rivals in the $100,000 Mr. Prospector (G3).

Favored at 2-1 in the morning-line for a bid for his third straight stakes victory, Uno Mas Modelo had won three straight races, including back-to-back sprint wins at Saratoga, before finishing off the board in the 1 ¼-mile Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) at Belmont Sept. 29. The son of Macho Uno returned to winning form and sprint racing in the Bet On Sunshine at Churchill Downs before capturing the Claiming Crown Rapid Transit at Gulfstream Dec. 1.

“He’s a good horse. He has a big heart. He loves what he does,” trainer Anthony Quartarolo said.

Uno Mas Modelo rallied from well off the race to get up to win the seven-furlong Rapid Transit by a neck – a style that he has employed while winning eight of 30 career starts.

“There’s plenty of speed in there. He should get a good trip, hopefully. He should get good position and then put in his kick,” Quartarolo said. “He loves seven furlongs.”

Quartarolo and Loooch Racing Stables will also be represented by Storm Advisory, who won a Thistledown allowance and finished seventh in the Clark Handicap (G1) at Churchill since being claimed for $80,000 at Churchill Sept. 27.

“He’s a nice little horse that horse. We’re tossing the last race. He was overmatched and he got in a speed duel,” Quartarolo said. “He’s doing real well. He trained super the other day. He should get a good trip in there, too, and he likes that distance also.”

Albin Jimenez has the return mount aboard Uno Mas Modelo, while Robby Albarado has the call on Storm Advisory.

Coal Front, a Todd Pletcher-trained multiple graded-stakes winner making his second start off a 13-month layoff; Heartwood, the runner-up in the Fall Highweight (G3) at Aqueduct last time out; Wild Shot, the 2017 Pat Day Mile (G3) winner who came off a 15-month layoff to finish second in a Churchill allowance Nov. 23; Conquest Big E, the 2018 Gulfstream Park Hardacre Mile (G2) winner who halted a four-race losing streak with a dominating allowance win last time out; and Kroy, a multiple-stakes winner based in South Florida; will provide strong competition for Loooch Racing’s duo.

Sweetontheladies, J. S. Choice, K Choice and Belle Tapisserie round out the field.

Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Grows to $30,379

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 started went unsolved Friday at Gulfstream Park, producing a carryover jackpot of $30,379.23 for Saturday’s program.

Multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $728.66, two days after the popular multi-race wager was hit for a $580,349.19 jackpot strike by an XpressBet bettor.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 6-11, including the Mr. Prospector in Race 10.

There will also be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $5,560.21 heading into Saturday’s program.
First-race post time for Saturday’s 11-race program is set for Noon.

Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot: $30,379.23
