Wednesday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover $111,211 Features Four Turf Races
Two for Pletcher and Velazquez

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Gulfstream’s Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 will have a carryover of $111,211.66 when racing resumes Wednesday with an 11-race program beginning at noon.

The Rainbow 6 sequence Wednesday will feature four turf races beginning with the sixth race, a 13-horse turf event at 1 1/16 mile for 3-year-olds and up, followed by a dozen claimers going a mile on the turf in the seventh race

There was $185,916 bet into Sunday’s Rainbow 6. Multiple tickets with six winners Sunday returned $10,409.72.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the next race day.

Two for Pletcher, Velazquez

Robert and Lawana Low’s Federal Case, purchased at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale after breaking his maiden Oct. 19 at Keeneland for WinStar Farm, China Horse Club and SF Racing LLC, got up in the final strides to beat a stubborn Frosted Grace in Sunday’s third race. Purchased for $650,000, Federal Case, a 2-year-old son of Gemologist, covered a mile in 1:36.42 for trainer Todd Pletcher and jockey John Velazquez.

Later in the afternoon, Pletcher saddled Repole Stable’s Overdeliver, a 2-year-old son of Overanalyze, won at first asking, covering six furlongs in 1:10.60 under Velazquez.
