Thursday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Rises to $1.342 Million
Rainbow 6 Mandatory Payout Set for Saturday, Feb. 9

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 21st consecutive racing day at Gulfstream Park Wednesday, growing the carryover jackpot to $1,342,034.54 for Thursday’s program

A total of $320,224 was bet into the popular multi-race wager, which began with a carryover of $1,265,195.58 from Sunday’s card. Multiple tickets with all six winners Wednesday were each worth $1,205.54.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Since the 2018-19 Championship Meet kicked off Dec. 1, the Rainbow 6 has been hit five times, most recently for a $188,900.81 payout Jan. 9.

A mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 pool is scheduled for next Saturday’s program, even if it is solved in the meantime. The entire pool, including a carryover jackpot, will be paid out to those holding tickets.

Who’s Hot: Jorge Navarro and Todd Pletcher both saddled a pair of winners Wednesday. Navarro, who entered the 10-race card with a four-win margin over the 13-time defending Championship Meet titlist, scored with Jo Jo’s Candy ($3.80) in Race 3 and Dezzer ($5.40) in Race 6.

Pletcher won with Alpha Orionis ($2.80) in Race 1 and Clint Maroon ($6.80) in Race 7.
Emisael Jaramillo celebrated his 42nd birthday with a victory aboard Jo Jo’s Candy.
