HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 16th consecutive racing day Friday, producing a carryover jackpot of $1,101,518.31 for Saturday’s 13-race program (First-race post time: Noon).

A total of $382,978 was bet into the popular multi-race wager, which began with a carryover of $1,010,689.13 from Thursday’s card. Multiple tickets with all six winners Friday were each worth $3,315.78.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

, the Rainbow 6 has been hit seven times, most recently for a $227,505.88 payout Feb. 15.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 8-13 and will include the $75,000 Captiva Island, a five-furlong turf dash for older fillies and mares carded as Race 12.

Graded-stakes winner Morticia, who has won twice and finished second twice in four starts over the Gulfstream turf course, tops the eight-horse field.

Earlier on Saturday’s program, graded-stakes winner Vision Perfect, who captured the $100,000 Janus Stakes at Gulfstream Dec. 29, will defend his title in the $75,000 Silks Run in Race 3.. The five-furlong turf dash for 4-year-olds and up also attracted Pay Any Price, the 2018 Silks Run runner-up who set a world record in the 2017 edition (53.61 seconds); and Imprimis, who is 3-for-3 over the Gulfstream turf.

There’s a Chance Stable’s Horologist ($17.40) surged past heavily favorite Graceful Princess turning into the homestretch and drew off to win Friday’s featured third race, a mile optional claiming allowance for 3-year-old fillies that served as a possible prep for the $250,000 Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) March 30.

Trained by John Mazza, the daughter of Gemologist pressed the pace set by Graceful Princess, the 2-5 favorite ridden by Tyler Gaffalione, past fractions of 24 and 47.52 seconds for the first half mile. Horologist turned up the heat on the pacesetter on the turn into the homestretch and dashed away to a commanding 1 ¼-length victory under Joe Bravo, who made a quick study of the New Jersey-bred filly.

“Today was the first day I’ve seen her. The team had her ready to run. That made my job easy. I was just a passenger,” said Bravo following the 5337th winning ride of his career.

Multiple stakes-placed Horologist ran a one-turn mile in 1:37.81.

Bella Ciao rallied under Luis Saez to finish second three-quarters of a length ahead of third-place finisher Graceful Princess, who was found to have thrown a shoe during the race.

Who’s Hot: Irad Ortiz Jr. and Luis Saez both tripled Friday Ortiz scored aboard Wildcat Blast ($2.80) in Race 1, Golden Spear ($11.20) in Race 5, and Booby Trap ($4.60) in Race 9. Saez won back to back aboard Go Poke the Bear ($5.60) in Race 10 and Slot Receiver ($9) in Race 11 after scoring aboard Jalen Journey ($6.60) in Race 4.
Rainbow 6 Carryover: $1,101,518
