Post Position Draw for Toyota Blue Grass, Central Bank Ashland
at Keeneland on Wednesday

WHAT: Keeneland will host a Post Position Draw brunch for the $1 million Toyota Blue Grass (G2) and $500,000 Central Bank Ashland (G1) on Wednesday, April 3.

WHEN: Breakfast at 10 a.m. ET
Post Position Draw begins approximately 11:15 a.m.

WHERE: Limestone Café, Keeneland Sales Pavilion

BACKGROUND: The 95th running of the $1 million Toyota Blue Grass (G2) and the 82nd running of the $500,000 Central Bank Ashland (G1) will be run at Keeneland Saturday, April 6. Both are major classic preps, awarding a total of 170 points each on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1), respectively.

Probable starters in the Toyota Blue Grass include 2018 Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) winner Signalman, third in last year’s Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) and second in Keeneland’s Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (G1); 2018 Nashua (G3) winner Vekoma, coming off a third in the Xpressbet Fountain of Youth (G2); and stakes winner Win Win Win, third in the Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby (G2) in his last start.

The Central Bank Ashland is expected to feature Jaywalk, champion 2-year-old filly of 2018, and Restless Rider, winner of Keeneland’s 2018 Darley Alcibiades (G1). Jaywalk and Restless Rider were 1-2 in the 2018 Tito’s Handmade Vodka Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1).
