Friday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot Exceeds $2.34 Million

Undefeated King Humor Returns on 2:15 p.m. Twilight Card

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 45th consecutive racing day at Gulfstream Park Thursday, producing a carryover jackpot of $1,341,706.72 for Friday’s 2:15 p.m. twilight program
Multiple tickets with six winners were each worth $369 Thursday.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

A total of $222,219 was bet into the Rainbow 6 Thursday, when wagering on the six-race sequence started with a carryover of $2,288,393.68 from Sunday’s program.

Friday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 4-9, featuring the return to action of undefeated King Humor in Race 8, a six-furlong stakes-quality optional claiming allowance. The Victor Barboza-trained King Humor is scheduled to make his first start in a year after going undefeated in three starts, including a stakes victory in the Ocala Flame in his last outing.

Stakes winners Harryhee, Three Rules, Millionaire Runner and Soutache, as well as stakes-placed Field Trip, are slated to challenge King Humor in the six-horse event.

NOTES

Sumthingtotalkabt, who produced the multiple-graded stakes winner Lady Shipman, also produced Thursday’s ninth race winner Itsherluckyday. The 3-year-old filly, by Poseidon’s Warrior, covered a mile turf course against maiden special weight company in 1:36.85. Sumthingtotalkabt, like Lady Shipman, is owned by Ranlo Investments LLC….Jockey Jairo Rendon rode three winners on the afternoon. Along with Itsherluckyday ($10), Rendon won the sixth race aboard So Nifty ($11.40) and the fourth with Country Strong ($5.40)…
