LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5 will feature races from Laurel Park and Gulfstream Park, including three on the turf, along with a $100,000 guaranteed pool and an industry-low 12-percent takeout.

The sequence will begin at Laurel Park at 4:50 p.m. with a maiden special weight event at 5 ½ furlongs on the turf for 2-year-old fillies. After an allowance event at seven furlongs and a 5 ½ furlong turf race for claimers at Laurel, the action moves to Gulfstream for a claiming event at six furlongs and 2-year-old maidens going 7 ½ furlongs on the turf.
