Del Mar

Race 8) Grade 1 Bing Crosby Stakes 6 Furlongs Post Time 8:30 EDT

7) Recruiting Ready (Hough/Prat); has had five tough 2019 starts, winning and showing along with a pair of seconds, all against the highest level of sprinters. It’s hard to think that this Grade 1 maybe a bit of class relief, but think it is.

8) Jalen Journey (Miller/Smith); he placed last out in the G3 Smile Sprint, his first graded attempt; 4-year-old has shown steady improvement since his maiden start and with the upgrade to Mike Smith in the irons, could be trouble here.

3) Cistron (Sadler/Espinoza); 5-year-old by The Factor has also been running with a tough crowd, sandwiching a score in the G2 Kona Gold and placing in both the Grade 3 San Simeon and Triple Bend.

4) Line Judge (Miller/Van Dyke); giving this one the nod for exotics over Chief Cicatriz (6), as his last effort produced a speed figure that fits with these.

Selections: 7, 8, 3, 4
