Post Time: 5:32/ 4:32/ 3:32/( 2:32)
1) Donna Veloce (Callaghan/Prat); delivered at a short price in her debut; bullet works in prep for this.
2) Two Sixty (Casse/Zayas); Gulfstream shipper’s last out win in the Sunshine Millions produced the field’s only triple-digit speed figure; faces tougher here.
3) Perfect Alibi (Casse/Ortiz, I.); Grade 1 Spinaway winner was no match to the victor last out in the Alcibiades, wll be hard to turn the tables on that filly today.
4) British Idiom (Cox/Castellano); took command in the Alcibiades and never let up winning by 6 lengths; Flashback filly has faced tough competition i her two career starts and Cox has her sitting on another big effort.
5) Lazy Daisy (O’neill/Bejarano); came into her own last out edging away to win in the G2 Pocahontas; fast work tab on view.
6) Bast (Baffert/Velazquez); Uncle Mo daughter enters on the strength of back-to-back Grade 1 scores here and at Del Mar; needless to say, Baffert is tough in these spots.
7) Wicked Whisper (Asmussen/Rosario); gate-to-wire winner last out at Belmont in the G1 Frizette and is another working lights out in prep for this.
8) K P Dreamin (Mullins/Fuentes); finished third in the Chandelier, no match for the top two; gets tougher here.
9) Comical (O’Neill/Cedillo); game in defeat to Bast in the Chandelier missing by a neck. Into Mischief filly got away with soft opening fractions that day don’t see that happening here.
Selections: 4, 1, 6, 7
Race 9) 1&1/16th Mile. TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Grade I. Purse $2,000,000 FOR COLTS AND GELDINGS, TWO-YEARS-OLD.
Post Time: 7:03/ 6:03/ 5:03/( 4:03
1) Dennis’ Moment (Romans/Ortiz, I.); rolls in having won two straight, both dominant efforts including his last in the G3 Iroquois; extremely hot work tab in prep.
2) Wrecking Crew (Miller/Lopez); Sky Kingdom ridgling makes his first start away from Del Mar where he placed in the G2 Best Pal and Grade 1 Futurity; this is a much tougher spot.
3) Shoplifted (Asmussen/Santana); had no success in the American Pharoah here in September; his late run won’t overtake these.
4) Storm the Court (Eurton/Prat); gets first blinkers after finishing third in the Pharoah, an average training angle for Eurton.
5) Scabbard (Kenneally/Smith); like how this More Than Ready colt has shown steady improvement each time out, especially in last rallying to place in the Iroquois; addition of Hall of Fame rider Mike Smith a plus.
6) Eight Rings (Baffert/Velazquez); Empire Maker colt wired the American Pharoah field and though he’ll have the rail foe to deal with, he could wire this field.
7) Anneau d’Or (Wright/Hernandez, J.); maiden winner at Golden Gate tests deep water here; pass.
8) Full Flat (Mori/Take); all starts were in Japan, not much info to go on.
9) Maxfield (Walsh/Ortiz, J.) SCRATCHED; enters 2-for-2, both game efforts at Churchill and at Keeneland where he took the Grade 1 Breeders’ Futurity; he’s trouble late.
Selections: 6, 1, 2, 5
