HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 pool will be guaranteed at $1.5 million Saturday at Gulfstream Park, where the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the 20th racing day of the 2019-2090 Championship Meet.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Multiple winning tickets Friday returned $606.62.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 6-11 and will include the $75,000 Abundantia in Race 6, the $75,000 Tropical Park Oaks in Race 7, the $75,000 Tropical Park Derby in Race 9, the $75,000 Via Borghese in Race 10 and the $100,000 H. Allen Jerkens in Race 11.

First-race post time for Saturday’s 11-race card is set for noon.

Spun to Run, a candidate for the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1) at Gulfstream Park Jan. 25, breezed a half-mile in 47.90 seconds Friday morning at Palm Meadows Training Center.

Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. was aboard for the breeze at Gulfstream Park’s satellite training facility in Palm Beach County.

Spun to Run captured the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) at Santa Anita Nov. 2, finishing 2 ¾ lengths ahead of Omaha Beach, who is also a leading prospect for the Pegasus World Cup Invitational. The Juan Carlos Guerrero-trained 3-year-old son of Hard Spun most recently finished second behind Maximum Security in the Cigar Mile (G1) at Aqueduct.

Who’s Hot: Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. rode four winners in a row, and five of the six races in the Rainbow 6, scoring aboard Sassy Justice ($3.40) in Race 5, Wicked Solution ($4.20) in Race 6, French Quarter ($5.80) in Race 7, Pocket Change ($3) in Race 8 and Preacher Marsee ($11) in Race 10.

Jockey Luis Saez, who rode four winners Sunday and five more Thursday, stayed red hot Friday by riding the first two winners at Gulfstream Park. The two-time Championship Meet titlist, who was edged by one win by Irad Ortiz Jr. last season, scored aboard Fairy Link ($5.80) in Race 1 and More Than Striking ($6.80) in Race 2.

Trainer Mike Maker had three winners – Wicked Solution, French Quarter and Preacher Marsee.

Rainbow 6 Pool: $1.5 million (guaranteed on Saturday).
