Gulfstream Park

Race 12) 1&1/8 Mile. Pegasus World Cup Invitational S.PRESENTED BY RUNHAPPY. Grade I. Purse $3,000,000 FOUR YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WITH NO RACE DAY MEDICATION
Post Time: ( 5:34)/ 4:34/ 3:34/ 2:34
ADVANCED FORECAST: Mostly Sunny, High 72, Low 65

1) True Timber (McLaughlin/Bravo); has finished third straight; competitive at the mile but is 0-3 at today’s distance.

2) Tax (Gargan/Ortiz, I.); winner of the G2 Jim Dandy and a last out runner-up in the Grade 3 Discovery, has finished in the money with all five attempts at the mile & eighth route; don’t overlook.

3) Diamond Oops (Biancone/Leparoux); Lookin At Lucky gelding is a 5-time winner here but has yet to go past a mile; he’s been working like the sprinter that he is.

4) Seeking the Soul (Stewart/Velazquez);
7-year-old has a knack for getting a check in these spots as he demonstrated with his place effort in this contest a year ago; winner of the Grade 2 Foster can’t be quickly dismissed for another exotics effort at a price.

5) Omaha Beach (SCRATCHED)

6) Higher Power (Sadler/Prat); Grade 1 Pacific Classic winner performed like the solid Grade 1 player he’s become with his third place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Classic. 5-year-old has steady improvement with each start since arriving in the Sadler barn back in May; major win threat.

7) War Story (Dobles/Rosario); 8-year-old, a winner of just under $3 million, exits a driving score here in the G3 Harlan’s Holiday, an effort you want to see entering a contest like this; his best form in 2 years.

8) Mr Freeze (Romans/Saez); weakened late in the G1 Clark but is one across the board from four starts at the distance; his work tab suggests a effort try today.

10) Mucho Gusto (Baffert/Ortiz, J.); hung wide as the race favorite last out in the Oklahoma Derby, his only off the board finish from ten career starts; rested and ready for a Baffert starter….

11) Tenfold (Asmussen/Gaffalione); missed by less than a length last out in the Fair Grounds slop but hasn’t been close in prior four starts.

12) Bodexpress (Delgado/Jaramillo); gave way late in the Harlan’s Holiday, however this post does him in.

Selections: 2, 6, 10, 7
