GULFSTREAM TODAY 3.22.20

Wednesday’s Rainbow 6 Jackpot Pool Guaranteed at $1.9 Million

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 will offer a guaranteed jackpot pool of $1.9 million Wednesday at Gulfstream Park.

The popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the 18th racing day in a row Sunday since being hit for a jackpot of $468,945 Feb. 27.

Multiple tickets with all six winners Sunday were each worth $1,139.28

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Who’s Hot: Edgar Prado closed to within one win of pulling even with fellow Hall of Famer Angel Cordero in races-won when he guided The Queens Jules ($4) to victory in Sunday’s Race 9. Cordero is eighth all-time among jockeys with 7,057 victories.

Trainer Christophe Clement moved to within two wins of the 2,000-win milestone, notching a victory with Just for One Day in Race 2.

Joel Rosario enjoyed a victorious return to Gulfstream with a pair of winners, scoring aboard Just for One Day ($2.60) in Race 2 and Dominate Themoment ($18) in Race 5.

Joe Bravo doubled aboard Pleasant Orb ($4.80) in Race 4 and Special Liaison ($25.20) in Race 6.

Fresh off his record-tying seven-win day Saturday, Paco Lopez rode a pair of winners, scoring aboard Noble Hope ($4.80) in Race 3 and Charlie the Greek ($8) in Race 7.

Rainbow 6 Jackpot Pool: $1.9 million guaranteed (Wednesday)
