Breeders’ Cup contenders based at Churchill Downs and its training facility Trackside Louisville had to arrive at Keeneland by Wednesday afternoon.

Fans can watch and wager on the Breeders’ Cup World Championships from Keeneland at Churchill Downs. For more information, visit www.churchilldowns.com. Admission gates will open at 11 a.m. (all times Eastern) on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

CHURCHILL DOWNS WEEK AT A GLANCE – Racing will continue at Churchill Downs on Wednesday for an abbreviated three-day week due to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland.

Wednesday and Thursday at Churchill Downs will have first posts at 1 p.m. with nine races on Wednesday and 10 races on Thursday. Live racing will move to Keeneland on Friday and Saturday for the Breeders’ Cup but returns to Churchill on Sunday for a 10-race card at 1 p.m. Entries for Sunday’s card were taken Wednesday.

DOWN THE STRETCH – There was a $69,258 carryover in Wednesday’s Single 6 Jackpot. The 20-cent based wager spanned Races 4-9. First post was 1 p.m. … Trainer Bernie Flint was two wins away from 500-career victories beneath the Twin Spires. He had three horses entered on Wednesday. … At the start of racing on Wednesday, Ricardo Santana Jr. sat atop the jockey standings with seven wins. Tyler Gaffalione, Florent Geroux, James Graham, Brian Hernandez Jr. and Corey Lanerie were in second with six wins. In the trainer standings, Steve Asmussen was tied with Kenny McPeek with four wins. Seven owners were currently tied for first in the standing with two wins: Jim Bakke and Gerald Isbister, Calumet Farm, CHC Inc. and WinStar Farm, Joey Keith Davis, Keuber Racing, Rigney Racing and Three Diamonds Farm.
